How long will you allow yourself to remain in bondage? Some of us are chained up by lust, others envy, many by self-righteousness, others by perfection, others by grandiosity, many by insecurity, and even more by the fear of rejection. What are your chains composed of? Understanding this is vital to walking in true freedom.
You have not been called to a life of bondage. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you the things and thoughts that are holding you back from walking in freedom. You need to allow yourself to have an intimate relationship with God so that He can show you the speck in your eye. You have to allow yourself to be vulnerable. There is no reason for you to hide behind a bush in fear that God might see your nakedness—your imperfections. See Genesis 3:8. Fortunately, God is not like man: He forgives even those who forsake Him. He will have compassion on us if we, the imperfect; the enslaved; the wicked, turn away from evil & unrighteousness, and return to Him and righteousness. Isaiah 55:7-9.
It is your move. Will you remain idle and stuck in your ways, or will you seek the Lord and His? God says call to Him and He will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. Jeremiah 33:3. Seek the Lord for only He can show you the way to true everlasting freedom. Seek the Lord and ask Him to reveal the thoughts and things that hold you captive. Seek the Lord so that He can groom you to be the man or woman He has called you to be. God cannot groom you if you choose to be stubborn and hide from Him because you are fine and there is nothing you need to work on, or because you do not think that you are worthy enough. Hosea 4:16. Seek the Lord because He first sought you. Seek the Lord because He is the only way to freedom, liberty, and justice for all.
“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13
