Are you dependent on Christ? Is He the first Person you tell your troubles, your doubts? Do you pride yourself on being an independent man or woman? Do you bottle things up because you feel as if no one understands, or do you share everything with friends? That is not what God wants; He wants you to be fully dependent on Him. Our Father wants us to go to Him in moments of joy, sadness, and anger. It is easy to want to first go to your friends, relatives, or counselor with your issues, however, it is not always fulfilling. Many times you do not get the responses or answers that you need or desire from those conversations; resulting in disappointment. Did you know that you have a Father in Heaven who knows the voice of each of his children, knows how to distinguish your laughter and your cries; a Father who has the answers you need?

Seek first God the Father. Prayer does not have to be a long, drawn out conversation that you have with the Lord once a day. You can go to Him throughout the day. Say a brief prayer when you are thankful. Say a brief prayer when you are fearful. Say a brief prayer when you are joyful. God hears you. And if you allow yourself to have a personal relationship with Him, you will know His voice when He responds.

“In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭18:6‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Have a great day 💗
